The Faith to See What Happens

I wish I could be a fortune teller so I could see the future.

It would be so amazing to sit down and already know how well my next book would turn out. And how well my applications would flourish. Or how well my programs, courses and events would do.

Yeah…that would be something.

I would never have to worry at all about anything. Knowing, in advance, how things would turn out would change everything for me.

If I knew something would flop, I’d just scrap it and throw away that idea entirely.

But…if I knew that an application of mine would make me millions, I’d focus on that above anything else. It would be a dream come true.

No more hesitating, no more worrying, no more nothing…I’d just focused on my best ideas and then…BOOM!

Instant Success! It’s like I couldn’t lose!

It’s like something my wife always says…”Can You Imagine?”

If only huh?

Unfortunately…we can’t imagine such a dream scenario.

We can imagine how things might turn out…sure. But we’ll never know for certain. Things must play out on it’s own. We just have to wait and see what happens…

But so many of us can’t even get to that point.

  • We never start because of the dreaded fear of the unknown.
  • We don’t want to fail.
  • We don’t want to lose the little reputation we have.

It’s scary to think of the bad consequences.

But we have to try…

We have to trust in the work we’ve done.

You’ve put in the work so the results should be better than most.

Most people don’t do the work…

Most people never start…

Most people wait till it’s too late…

Not you.

You’ve started, you’ve practiced hard, and you’ve conquered because you’ve completed your work.

You’re way ahead of the others.

Most people can’t even imagine doing what you’ve done so far. Because they have no faith in the beauty of seeing what happens. They have no faith in seeing what can be created with their talents within.

The more you create and do the work necessary, the greater your faith will be.

It’s the unknown now being made known by your creation…by you completing work.

In other words, you’ll never see what happens if you don’t bring your creations to light…if you don’t finish your work!

There is no good being done from…

unfinished projects,

unfinished tasks,

unfinished businesses,

unfinished books.

Your faith will never be strong in unfinished work. Once you finish it, however, your faith will then be made complete.

Because finally you’ll get to see what happens…

And life will become so much clearer then. You’ll know how it feels to complete something. It’s one of the best feelings evah! Because now you get to see how it all turns out. Good or bad, you don’t care much at that point, at least not at first.

You’re so exhausted and spent. You’re just glad that it’s done. But you can feel confident in the fact that you did it. You did the work necessary. And no one can take that away from you. You brought your talents out into the world.

Of course you have to share your work with the world for validation. The hard part perhaps but you know it’s necessary. So now put in the extra work to get your creation out there.

Everyone gets to judge…Yes?

If they like the results, cool.

If they don’t like the results, still cool.

Because you know that you did what most couldn’t. You had the faith to see what could happen when most couldn’t. You completed the work and brought your creative self out to the world.

When most won’t ever…

You had faith in yourself and most never will.

In Summary…

So right now, have the resolve to finally finish your projects. Get faster at completing your work. Knock out your goals. Just finish already!

The faster you get it done, the faster you’ll see what happens…

And isn’t that the hardest part? Wondering how it all turns out…Stop wondering and finally let the the faith in your work take you places you’ve never, ever been.

Do you have the faith to see what happens with your creations? Have some faith and declare it in the comments. I won’t judge ya…in fact I might make a declaration

  1. Spot on, Bryan!

This post captures the problem I am facing. I plan and think too much but rarely finish.

I had set 22 April – 30 June as a time when I’ll be consistent with what I’m doing.

No plan revision. No giving up. No regret.

Because in the end…it’s about faith that no matter what will happen at the end of the road, at least you’ll know that you are moving towards something.

    1. Thanks for sharing Wan,

You’re absolutely right that you will be moving towards something no matter what. And I think that we all go through the “too much planning and thinking” mode more than we like to admit.

Kudos on your commitment to be consistent from now till June 30th. I will hold you to it! :)

I’ll make my declaration here as well. For the next six months, I’ll do everything I thought I’d never do to build my digital presence. And whether it works or doesn’t work, at least I’d had the faith in seeing what happens with all!
