As I look back on this college basketball season here in the United States…I can’t help but notice just how much can happen to one team, in a single season. Take the Kentucky Wildcats for example…
John Calipari recruited an all star freshman class that started the entire season. That’s all freshman! They came straight out of high school and were crowned the #1 team in the country from day one.
This was based on their talent alone. And perhaps in a lot of ways, the coach that they were to receive guidance from too. But mainly it was because they had the most highly recruited freshman class on paper.

I look back at all the sports I’ve seen over the years. All the TV shows and films. Everything I’ve seen in politics. They are built upon the careers of people. I’ve watched entire basketball careers of players like Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird.
I’ve watched them since college, through the NBA all the way into retirement. Very successful careers for all of these players. I watched as they went from losing to winning in a incredibly amazing way.
Championship after Championship. I even watch now as they manage from the executive offices.
And I watched as the careers of many actors from a young age to now fully grown. Actors like Will Smith, who started as a rapper and worked his way into a million dollar acting career. I’ve watched actors like Morgan Freeman, who started a long time ago on The Electric Company to being one of the most renowned actors of this day.
I’ve seen actors like Patrick Dempsey, all of the Breakfast Club gang among others who’ve grown up to have substantial careers in this industry.
